is totally original in the way he approaches his reso-phonic guitar
playing and possesses a slide technique which is rare to find. At times
his guitar finger picking becomes a relentless cascade of angry notes,
but Kurt can also a take you on a tender journey with his gentle
approach to the National guitar. He displays a sophisticated method of
playing thumping bass lines alongside electrifying lead breaks –
a technically amazing feat that Kurt makes look effortless. Kurt's
voice moves between the extremes of a menacing growl and a smooth,
heartfelt croon. In his writing Kurt uses the voices of vulnerability,
strength and, faith to convey his stories, which are set to a platform
of awesome blues rock and sweet playful ballads. His stage persona
